Founded in 2000 by Dr. Sachiko Kuno and Dr. Ryuji Ueno, S&R Evermay* is a 50l(c)(3) non-profit organization in Washington, D.C.. S&R Evermay is devoted to educating, encouraging and recognizing talented emerging innovators, scientists and artists whose talents contribute to improved global, cultural and scientific understanding.

We believe strongly in preserving unique and historic spaces for the use of future generations because we know that bringing people into these spaces can inspire creative thinking, lead to important conversations and further cultural collaboration. By locating its headquarters at Evermay, we hope to continue to inspire guests, performers and awardees for years to come.

Mission

Our mission is to promote transformative societal impact for this generation and the next. We encourage individuals in the greater Washington, D.C. area, and other strategic locations, to collaboratively develop innovative solutions to real-world problems.

To support this mission, S&R Evermay sponsors four programs: The Washington Award, The Kuno Award, Evermay Visionaries, and Evermay Dialogues.

In addition to our annual awards, we host concerts, seminars and programs that encourage scientific innovation and artistic excellence while promoting cultural diversity, personal growth and collaboration. By supporting individuals and enabling their growth and success within various communities, S&R Evermay nurtures their availability, in turn, to enrich society with the fruits of their hard work and dedication.
